An Upstate Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in locating a most wanted suspect. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says that 31 year old Jacob Ryan Mims is wanted on warrants for not appearing in court.
The charges against him include everything from attempted murder and resisting arrest to a list of traffic violations. After Sheriff Chuck Wright spoke to reporters about Mims, a tip line report came in that Mims was located a house in the Moore area of Spartanburg County.
Mims was in a vehicle Tuesday afternoon driven by a woman, she pulled over when signaled. Mims then exited the vehicle and ran on foot behind the Publix store at Highway 290 and Reidville Road. Despite a perimeter being established by deputies and a K-9 tracking unit, Mims was able to elude capture.
The Sheriff's Office says Mims is considered armed and dangerous.
