A skating rink in the Upstate is turning the lights out for good, after nearly two decades in business. Skateland in Gaffney opened in 2005 and will now close due to being sold.
Owners Andy and Hope Bennett recently accepted an offer to sell Skateland after turning down offers in past years. The Bennett's made that announcement on social media.
They cited one of the reasons for the decision being the increased issues in running a business that caters to teenagers.
The post referred to "uncontrollable behavior" by this generation of teeangers and "lack of responsibilty" taken by parents.
