More information has been released after an Upstate teacher was arrested for stalking an 11 year old student. As we previously reported, 27 year old Starr Elementary Teacher Dylan Dukes faces a charge of stalking the girl.
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says that Dukes wrote more than 60 of what they described as "love letters" to the underaged girl. Prior to his arrested Dukes was named Teacher Of The Year at Starr Elementary.
The 11 year old was no longer going to be a student of Dukes moving forward and he reportedly joined the church the girl and her family attend, so he could see her over the summer.
The Sheriff's Office had a number of photos of the girl stowed away in his desk, none of those photos were of a sexual nature.
