A teen died as a result of yesterday's severe weather in the upstate. The Anderson Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 15-year-old Evan Kinley of Anderson, a sophomore at TL Hanna High School.
According to the Coroner’s Office, at around 5PM Monday, Kinley stopped at his grandparent’s house on Arnold Drive near Kings Road, in a residential area of Anderson during the storm and was at the entrance of the garage when a large tree fell and landed on him.
The Coroner’s Office ruled Kinley’s death accidental and classified it as a death resulting from severe weather.
