One person was hospitalized after extreme weekend weather in the Upstate. Cherokee County Emergency crews responded, to a call of a person being struck by lightning, Saturday.
The National Weather Service says that the person was hit by lightning at the Cowpens National Battlefield. The victim of the strike was taken to Spartanburg Regional and as was said to be in stable condition, as of Sunday.
No further information has been released, as of this time.
