
An Upstate woman is slated to spend the next dozen years behind bars after attacking a man with a baseball bat, last year. 28 year old, Kristina Paige Barnett entered a guilt plea Wednesday to a charge of Aggravated Assault & Battery.

The charge stems from an incident at a home in Blacksburg, last September. The victim told Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies, that Barnett hit him in the head with a bat wrapped in razor wire. He was rushed to Spartanburg Regional to be treated for bleeding on the brain and broken bones.
Barnett's criminal history includes prior convictions for Burgulary, Larceny, and drug charges. She will be required to serve 8 5 percent of her 12 year sentence, before being eligible for early release.
