A Spartanburg woman will spend the next quarter century in prison for her role in a wrong-way crash that killed three people. 46 year old, Melissa Ann Parker pleaded guilty to 3 counts of fatal DUI, 1st degree assault, hit and run and grand larceny.

The charges stem from an incident in August of 2021. The 7th Circuit Solicitor's Office says Parker drove to Circle K in Asheville, parked her vehicle there and stole an SUV. She took the stolen Hummer and drove the wrong way in it down I-26, where she collided with another vehicle. Three women from Indiana were killed in the crash.

Parker left the scene but was later located. Investigators say it was revealed that Parker was on THC Gummies and Adderall prior to the fatal wreck. Parker has been sentenced to 25 years in the South Carolina Department Of Corrections.
