A 35-year veteran of Pickens County law enforcement is facing trial for DUI. The Easley Police Department says, Pickens County Sheriff's Captain Rodney Thomas was arrested following what was described as "an incident".
He was taken into custody around 5 PM Monday evening, in the parking lot of the Outback Steakhouse in Easley. Thomas, whose blood-alcohol level was reportedly "point-sixteen or higher," was not driving a county-owned vehicle. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office says he's been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
