The victim in a fatal drive by shooting in the Upstate has been identified. The Anderson City Police Department says the shooting happened at a home on Newell Street around 2AM, last Thursday.
The victim was treated at the scene and was transported to Anmed Hospital, where they died on Friday. The Anderson County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 23 year old, Aaron Joel Belton.
The investigation revealed that Belton was inside his home when a passing vehicle began firing at the house. A murder investigation is ongoing, however no arrests or suspect info has been announced.
