An investigation is ongoing after a deadly weekend shooting in Union. Officers responded to a reported shooting just after 1130 PM Saturday Night on Cottage Avenue.
Upon arrival, a man was found on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead the scene. The Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 34 year old, Rodney Cornelius Whitener.
SLED has been called into assist in the investigation. No arrests have been announced, as of the time of this report.
