An elderly woman is dead after being shot at her Anderson County home, Monday night. The Coroner's Office responded just before 1130PM to a home on Harpers Way.
The victim, 74 year old Sally Brainerd died at the scene after being shot. Her husband is the accused shooter. Initial reports indicate that Brainerd and her husband were having a domestic dispute that led to the shooting incident.
The Coroner's Office has ruled her death a homicide. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
