An Upstate community still mourning the death of a teenager gathered over the weekend to celebrate his life. 17 year old, Kory Nathaniel Fredericks was shot June 22nd at the Academy Sports in Spartanburg.
He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. This past Saturday family and friends gathered in the same parking lot where he was shot, to hold a prayer vigil and celebrate his life.
Fredericks graduated from Dorman High School in May and was a member of the Cavalier Football program. No arrests have been made in the case thus far, leaving his family still seeking justice.
