A Covid outbreak has an Upstate jail changing its normal operating procedure for the time being. The Anderson County Detention Center has suspended all visitations and volunteer services for the rest of the week. Officials say multiple cell blocks are currently under quarantine.

Inmates and staff who will be moving through various parts of the facility will be required to wear masks for the time being, as well.

The protocols are set to be re-evaluated this weekend to see if visitation can be re-instated for next week.
