
A weekend fire caused significant damage to an Upstate restaurant. The Anderson Fire Department responded around 4AM Sunday morning to a fire at the Burger King on Main Street.
An Anderson Police officer reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building. Crews arrived on the scene, they say nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire.
Firefighters were able to get control and extinguish the blaze. Main Street near Concord Road was shut down for hours, as crews worked at the scene. The fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
