A weekend police chase ended with the suspect in custody across state lines. Just after 9:30 Friday night, the Union County Sheriff’s Office pursued a vehicle driven by 26 year old, Deandrew Hobson of Clarksville, Tennessee. The chase started on Whitmire Highway , when Hobson refused to stop after being blue lighted. As the chase persisted the Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Pacolet Police Department.
As the chase persisted the Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Pacolet Police Department. The pursuit finally ended in North Carolina when Hobson crashed and was arrested near Tyron. Once Hobson makes bond in North Carolina, he is scheduled to be extradited and face charges out of Union County.
