The victim of a fatal weekend shooting in the Upstate has been identified. The Union County Sheriff's Office responded Saturday to a reported shooting in the 1500 block of Whitmire Highway.
When deputies arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died.
The Union County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 46 year old, Jamie Tyrone Brannon of Union.
No arrests have been announced as of the time of this report and shooting remains under investigation.
