A crash in involving a bicycle and a truck, Monday morning in Western North Carolina has resulted in charges against one driver and serious injuries to to the cyclist.
The Asheville Police Department responded to a reported crash around 2AM on Merrion Avenue near the city's downtown area. Upon arrival, officers found that the cyclist had been hit by a Ford truck.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police say, the driver of the truck, 34 year old Joshua Charles Andrews of Cullowhee, North Carolina was charged with reckless driving, speeding and driving without a license.
