A Western North Carolina man is facing a long list of drug charges after a theft prompted an investigation. The Swain County Sheriff's Office responded to a theft at the tribal food distribution building in Cherokee, on December 16th.
Deputies later executed a search warrant on a home in Bryson Coty. The search uncovered meth, prescription pills and marijuana. 55 year old, Dewayne Berry Winchester was arrested after the search.
He's charged with trafficking meth, intent to manufacture meth, possession of prescription pills and multiple other charges.
