A Westminster woman and her dog were found deceased in a vehicle in Lake Hartwell Thursday morning.
Investigators believe the vehicle was driven along a pathway leading to the lake Wednesday night between 9-10pm. The Coroner's Office found the car near Blackjack Road 75 yards from the shore.
A Fisherman called to report a car in the lake around 11:45am Thursday. Investigators did not find any damage to the vehicle.
Inside the car, the Coroner said 64 year old India L. Medlin and her dog were found dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. The Coroner said a medical condition possibly contributed to the event, based on Medlin's medical history.
