A new feature at an Upstate park is set to open, next week. The Reedy River Wetlands Preserve at Unity Park in Greenville will open next Wednesday, May 17th.
The preserve is a more natural environment than the rest of the park and is part of the 2nd development phase for Greenville's newest landmark. The Wetlands project was funded by donations from a public/private partnership. BMW, Duke Energy and the family of C. Dan Joyner all made large donations to the project.
The Wetlands Preserve is on the northern end of the park and marks the Reedy River's original path before its diversion in the 1930's.
