Alleged Flock camera misuse has led to the resignation of an Anderson County deputy's resignation. An Internal Affairs investigation determined that Deputy Eric Center accessed the Flock camera system for “a purpose outside of the authorized reasons,” according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
During the investigation, Deputy Center resigned. Numerous law enforcement agencies have dealt with Flock camera misuse, resulting in firings. In July, two officers with the Greer Police Department were terminated for improper use of Flock cameras, as were two Greenville County Sheriff's Office employees that same month.
In contrast, Flock cameras were instrumental in the recovery of a 12-year-old Spartanburg County girl who was reportedly abducted Tuesday and found Wednesday in Arkansas. They also played a key role in identifying and locating a murder suspect from Charlotte, in Union County earlier this week.
