Gas prices continue to soar to record highs across the nation. According to AAA's latest date this morning (Monday), the average cost per gallon in South Carolina is $4.45 per gallon. Union County has the lowest costs of an county in the Upstate at an average of $4.40 per. Anderson County was second at $4.42 per gallon. Many states including some of South Carolina's neighbors like Georgia have suspended the gas tax. South Carolina has not and Governor McMaster said back in March, that it wasn't going to happen.
