The South Carolina Sales Tax Holiday weekend starts at 12AM Friday and runs through Sunday. State revenue officials say, the South Carolina Sales Tax Holiday has saved families between two and three million dollars a year since it was originally conceived in 2000. The state director of the National Federation of Independent Businesses Ben Homeyer says this Sales Tax Holiday weekend is a chance for shoppers to support businesses reeling from the one-two punch of pandemic and supply chain problems.
