Will the Omicron variant shut down major events in 2022?

2020 saw the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic caused the cancellation of many major events and the shut down of businesses. In 2020, many major events did not take place including the NCAA Basketball tournament, concerts and other gatherings. In 2021, many of those events came back but in a socially distanced manor. Prior to the discovery of the Omicron variant many events had started to get back to normal. Now since Omicron has come on the scene, shutdowns in certain cases have come back. Many college basketball games this season have been postponed or cancelled. So the question is will major events this year be cancelled like they were in 2020? Let us know, below.
