Alan Wilson is part of the crowded field looking for the Republican nomination in the Governor's race. Democratic candidate Mullins McLeod has made headlines after police video surfaced of his arrest from earlier this year.
In what appears to be a drunken tirade from inside the police car McLeod said he would "Kick his teeth in", when referencing Wilson. The State Attorney General responded to that during an appearance on the Tara Show, Monday morning.
Wilson said " I'm flattered that the Democratic side is thinking of me in the general election right now. Unfortunately for me, I have to think about the Primary before thinking about the general election. The focus for me right now is winning the nomination for our party".
Wilson went to expound on the issues the Democratic Party has in connecting with the average voter. He said " When I look at their party across the nation, these are people who are on the 20% side of 80/20 issues".
In addition to Wilson the Republican ticket currently includes Congresswoman Nancy Mace, Lt. Governor Pam Evette, Congressman Ralph Norman, and State Senator Josh Kimbrell
