A Western North Carolina Investigator is out of a job after alleged misuse of the license plate reader system. Macon County Sheriff Brent Holbrooks says, Detective Jonathan Bean has been terminated.
The Sheriff reports that an outside agency alerted his office about suspected misuse of the system, last Friday. After a review on the matter, The Sheriff's Office decided to terminate Bean's employment.
Details on how frequently and why Bean allegedly misused the system, have not been released at this time. Officials say that Bean will not be criminally charged.
