In recent years especially, Clemson football has been a hot ticket, but now that ticket has garnered a different type of heat, as a woman has been arrested in a ticket scam.
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says 28 year old Abbryanna Mcgowan knowingly sold fake Clemson tickets to a number of victims.
Mcgowan's scam reportedly started in Charleston before she worked her away to the Upstate. She reportedly scammed victims in Anderson, Greenville County and North Carolina, as well.
McGowan has been arrested and is being held in Charleston County. Once she has faced charges there, she's expected to be extradited to Anderson County to face charges there.
The sheriff's office reminds the public the safest way to purchase tickets is through official sources.
