The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting Monday night at a hotel. Deputies responded to the reported shooting at the Red Roof Inn on Pottery Road just before 7:30PM Monday.
When deputies arrived they found a woman that had been shot in the back. She was taken to a hospital for treatment where she later died. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
Deputies say, they have detained a suspect in the shooting, but have not released the identity of the suspect.
