Anderson County investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal fire. It happened at a home on Old Denver Road in the Centerville community just before 11:00 Wednesday night.
There were three people in the house. Two managed to escape, but one woman was unable reach the door. Despite the wet weather it was nearly 5:00 AM, before firefighters had put out the last of the embers and secured the scene.
The coroner's office is withholding the victim's identity for now. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
