A man seen sitting at the desk of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the Capitol riots was reportedly arrested Friday.

Richard Barnett, 60, was arrested hundreds of miles away in his home state of Arkansas, a Justice Department official told NBC News. He is from the city of Gravette.

Barnett was charged with entering and remaining on restricted grounds, violent entry and theft of public property, according to the report.

There have been calls for his arrest since viral photos captured him lounging with his feet up in Pelosi’s office during the Capitol siege on Wednesday.

It's unclear what he was accused of stealing, but New York Times reporter Matthew Rosenberg tweeted video that appears to show Barnett saying he took a personalized envelope from Pelosi's office.

"I didn't steal it," Barnett told Rosenberg. "I put a quarter on her desk."

“I wrote her a nasty note, put my feet up on her desk,” Barnett also said, according to the Times.
