The MTA is honoring the nation's service members with commemorative Veterans Day MetroCards.

The transit agency has printed about 50,000 of the special-edition MetroCards.

They will be available at MetroCard vending machines starting Nov. 6 at the following locations: the Flushing-Main Street subway station in Queens, Brooklyn's Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center stations, 42 Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal and Grand Central-42nd Street in Manhattan, Third Avenue-149th Street in the Bronx and at the St. George Ferry Terminal on Staten Island.

"We are so proud to honor the veterans who serve our country in the military," said Sarah Feinberg, Interim President of NYC Transit. "It's important for our riders to remember the sacrifices of the veterans among us, including those who now help keep the city moving during the COVID-19 pandemic as transit workers."

In a press release, the MTA notes customers are not guaranteed to receive a commemorative MetroCard when they make a purchase at the vending machines at designated stations.
