The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a murder suspect.
Around 9:45 a.m. Monday morning, deputies were called to a shooting on Teresa Street in Roebuck.
A male victim who had been shot with a shotgun was in the yard.
According to a release, EMS began treating the victim and deputies began investigation. Multiple witnesses, including the victim's girlfriend, all gave consistent accounts of the shooting. Those interviews led the identification and location of the suspect, 72-year-old Kenneth Glen Lewis.

The release said Lewis was arrested without incident, the murder weapon was recovered, and he confessed to shooting the victim.
"The victim’s girlfriend is the suspect’s daughter, and a possible motive for the incident stems from the suspect believing the victim was responsible for his daughter’s burn injuries from 4 days ago," the release stated.
Lewis is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
