At least one is dead and 21 others are injured following a shooting this afternoon in Kansas City.
The incident occurred during the afternoon parade celebrating the Chiefs Sunday Super Bowl victory, and authorities quickly responded just after the celebratory rally ended.
At least two arrests have been confirmed, and one individual has been reported dead following the shooting.
Authorities said that anywhere between 10 and 15 victims were injured as well.
Children’s Mercy Hospital in the area posted on social media that they are currently treating roughly a dozen patients, most of which were children. Nine of those were reported to have gunshot wounds.
Neither the detained suspects or the victims have yet been identified.
A roughly 800-officer presence was reported on the scene.
