When actor and Uvalde, Tex., native Matthew McConaughey spoke yesterday in favor of gun control legislation in the wake of the mass shooting at an elementary school in his hometown that left 19 students and two teachers dead, conversative host Tara Servatius of The Tara Show was listening.
And Servatius wasn’t swayed by his plea.
“Don’t let Matthew McConaughey fool you,” Servatius said. “He said, ‘Oh we’re just gonna do some common sense things! Alright, alright, alright! Some common sense things. We’re not coming for your guns. No, not us. Come on, be reasonable.’ He’s lying.”
“This is just the first step in getting YOUR guns,” Servatius continued, “so you cannot defend yourself from the #1 killer of human beings on Earth in human history, and that is authoritarian government.”
