Presidential Election: Called in Favor of Donald Trump
• Donald Trump (Rep) - 277Electoral Votes
• Kamala Harris (Dem) - 224 Electoral Votes
Just after 8pm, the Associated Press called the South Carolina race for Donald Trump, earning him the state's 9 electoral votes.
Both North Carolina and Georgia were key races in this year's election that could have swung a win for either Trump or Harris. Late into the evening, North Carolina was called in favor of Donald Trump, granting him the state's 16 electoral votes. Georgia remained an extremely close race throughout the night, with the state called in favor of Trump in the early morning hours.
With both key southeastern swing states, Trump pushed ahead to 277 electoral votes to take the election. While some votes are still being counted, at the time of the call, this was the first time Trump won the popular vote in his now three presidential elections as well.
