NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- First lady Melania Trump will not travel to Erie, Pennsylvania Tuesday night with President Trump for a rally, as previously planned due to a "lingering" post-COVID-19 cough, her spokeswoman said.
"Mrs. Trump continues to feel better every day following her recovery from COVID-19, but with a lingering cough, and out of an abundance of caution, she will not be traveling today," the spokeswoman said.
Last Wednesday the first lady announced on the White House website that she had tested negative for the virus.
"I am happy to report that I have tested negative and hope to resume my duties as soon as I can," she wrote.
The first lady was scheduled to leave the White House for Erie around 5:30 p.m. The rally is scheduled for 7 p.m.
