President Joe Biden is urging calm in Brooklyn Center and the Twin Cities in the wake of the Daunte Wright killing.

But Mr. Biden, speaking from the White House Monday, said violence will not be tolerated.

"There is absolutely no justification, none, for looting. No justification for violence."

The president says he watched the body-camera video of the shooting, which he called graphic.

"The question is, was it an accident? Was it intentional? That remains to be determined."

Earlier in the day, Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott said President Biden had called him to offer his support.

President Joe Biden says he hasn't called the family of Daunte Wright, but sent along his prayers.
