Following Florida's request for emergency assistance in preparation for anticipated Tropical Storm Debby, Governor Henry McMaster signed an Executive Order Saturday, placing the South Carolina National Guard on state duty in support of Florida.
Governor McMaster will hold a press conference with South Carolina Emergency Management Officials to update the public on Tropical Storm Debby's expected impact on South Carolina, Monday evening.
McMaster will hold the public briefing at 5 PM in the State Emergency Operations Center in West Columbia. We plan to have more details from the Governor once they are made public.
