Should polling be outlawed

Polls are often constructed with biased wording and deliberate targeting designed to elevate specific candidates. This raises serious questions regarding their true accuracy and how honestly respondents actually answer. Furthermore, trend-followers frequently let these survey results dictate their own positions; without polls constantly steering public opinion, voters would be forced to conduct independent research.
