This past Friday, beekeper Mike Potts woke up and discovered that 92 beehives had been stolen from his orchard near Yuba City, California. KCRA-3 reports that the thief made off with a third of Potts' bees, which pollinate almond orchards in the area. "It's hard enough keeping the bees alive without someone stealing them," he says, noting that the theft will cost Pottsy's Pollination about $44,000 in lost revenue. "I would like to catch them, and I think a lot of the beekeepers out here, they're looking for them too," he says of the thief, who remains at large.
