Kevin Hart took to Instagram Tuesday to post a long message in defense of Ellen DeGeneres amid several claims of a toxic work environment on her show. “It’s crazy to see my friend go through what she’s going through publicly,” Hart wrote alongside a photo of him and DeGeneres. “I have known Ellen for years and I can honestly say that she’s one of the dopest people on the f**king planet. She has treated my family and my team with love and respect from day one.” He also lamented the “crazy world of negativity” on the internet, adding, “We are falling in love with people’s down fall. It’s honestly sad." Hart went on to say that he stands by “the ones that I know and that I love” and called for and end to “this hate s**t” online. “Looking forward to the future where we get back to loving one another,” he wrote. The comedian did add that he did not mean to "disregard the feelings of others and their experiences,” but wanted to "simply to show what my experiences have been with my friend. Love you for life Ellen.”
