While e-commerce worker Martha Smith made a final run to her San Francisco office to "rescue the plants" before a stay-at-home order took hold, she tells The Wall Street Journal that "it's gonna be a tragic little Sahara when we come back." Meanwhile, BuzzFeed's Los Angeles-based head of facilities, Julia Goldberg, herded all her co-workers' plants into a conference room, where they could be more easily watered together while their owners worked from home.
