Here are a few more good news stories making the rounds...
1. An 18-year-old woman in Missouri was drowning in floodwater and clinging to a basketball hoop. And two Boy Scouts jumped in and saved her life. Technically they're "Life Scouts," which is the last level before Eagle Scout.
2. A dog in South Carolina got spooked by fireworks and ran off on Sunday. And her owners drove around for four hours looking for her. But it turned out they didn't have to, because she came home on her own around 3:00 A.M. . . . and let them know she was back by RINGING THE DOORBELL.
3. A lot of stores in Washington state sold out of air conditioners during the big heat wave this week. So on his own birthday, a guy near Tacoma drove to California and bought 20 of them for friends, family, and other people in his community. He and his wife drove 1,300 miles round-trip.
4. A mom in St. Louis recently had a job interview, and didn't have anyone to watch her toddler. But luckily the company was fine with it and told her to bring him along. So she dressed him up in a suit . . . made him his own resumé . . . and she got the job. She posted a TikTok video of him getting ready. His resumé lists his work experience as "None." But he does have some skills: He can take off his own diaper . . . spot a dog from a mile away . . . and destroy a clean room in 30 seconds.
