"Hey guys! I found this to be an extremely weird request from my husband and I wanted to throw it on the savage scale. Out the blue he told me he's been thinking a lot about taking a week long vacation. When I asked him where we should go he quickly cut me off and said he doesn't want me or the kids to go with him, he wants to go alone. I understand needing time for yourself, but going on a solo vacation when you're married with kids just seems weird to me. Especially considering we're not exactly pulling in a ton of money right now. If we're going to take time off work and spend money, shouldn't it be to go on a vacation together?
