26-year-old Sophia Furtado studied to be a paramedic for a while. So she knew what to do . . . called 911 . . . and told the woman's husband to grab towels to stop the bleeding. The woman ended up in the hospital for three weeks with a traumatic brain injury, and needed a bunch of staples in her head. But she's alive and doing great now.
2. A bunch of students at Georgia Tech created a 4.2-mile-long hopscotch course that stretched around the entire campus. Now they're just waiting for Guinness to confirm it beat the old record of four miles.
3. LongHorn Steakhouse just gave a longtime employee named Gayle Dudley a $5,000 bonus . . . after she grilled her one-millionth steak. She's worked at the same location in Columbus, Georgia for over 20 years.
4. A 58-year-old construction worker in Maryland was on his way to work last Saturday when he found out he wasn't really needed that day. So he decided to take the day off . . . went to a liquor store . . . bought a lottery ticket . . . and won a hundred grand.
