One of the biggest back to school stories this year has been the bus driver shortage that is impacting thousands of students at RCSD. One of the by products of this shortage is that students who live within a mile and a half of their school must now walk.
A listener reached out to us who says after seeing that story, her husband suggested that their kids, who go to a different district but live about a mile from their school, should walk. Typically he was the one who would give them a ride on his way to work, so it's not about not being able to, her husband said it's a teaching lesson. She thinks that would be totally savage.
