"Hey guys! I need you to throw this one on to the savage scale for me. My husband and I are having a disagreement about how our son will be getting to school this year. He's going into the 8th grade and we've always given him a ride because we live too close for him to take the bus. This year my husband wants him to walk to school to "build some toughness". When I pushed back he said I need to stop babying him. When I was a kid I walked to school and it was fine, but I don't know, it feels like this world is a whole lot scarier and I just feel more comfortable bringing him myself. Is my husband being a savage?"
