Colette has been divorced for about a year, and has a 5 year old son. She got him a hamster for Christmas and while her son was at his dad's recently...well...the hamster died...She doesn't want to tell her son and hurt his feelings, but also doesn't want her ex to know just in case he brings it up at mediation and gets angry or something. It's a pretty messy divorce. She's thought about secretly replacing it, but also feels guilty. What should she do?
