Last year Popeyes went viral and made headlines everywhere when their chicken sandwich was named the "Best Chicken Sandwich", beating out other competitors like Wendy's and Chick-fil-a. Soon their restaurants were overwhelmed with people trying to get their hands on one. Lines were long, stores ran out of them, and someone even got shot in an altercation about them at one location.
Now it has been revealed that the chain is quietly testing a NEW version of the wildly popular sandwich in select markets.
No word on if or when the new BBQ Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich will be released on a national scale.
