Coloring with In Color in the Hard Rock Hotel New York

Getting very literal with the “Headlights” band

Coloring with In Color

Inside the Hard Rock Hotel New York, In Color joined us for a very befitting hang, coloring pictures of each other while talking about the origins of the band in Nashville, the blur of life on the road, and the passing of the iconic Dolly Parton.

Challenged by our host, Brad Steiner, the band put colored pencil to paper to draw their bandmates and kick it while coloring.

During the conversation, In Color looks back to their formation in Nashville, where the members initially met and connected through mutual friends. Val and Miles share they played in high school bands together as far back as 8th grade, and also shared an art class. Meanwhile, Holden flexed his music skills in marching band.

"I was in marching band in high school, which is the opposite of sports,” he jokes, “being a redhead and in marching band."

On the horizon for In Color is more touring around the world, and hopefully their debut album which is in the works. “We have a lot of songs that we are super excited about. We just took a trip in June and wrote like, 15 songs that we love, and we have a song coming out in a couple weeks called ‘Marionette.”

“More music, more shows, we are gonna hopefully put out an album and then tour it.”

With the football season days away, the band also took a break to draft their ultimate team of bands, with Switchfoot, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, and The Killers all making an appearance.
